What should I wear?

"What should I wear?"
When preparing for a photo session, one of the initial thoughts that crosses our minds is, "What should I wear?" Instantly, we start searching online to find suitable outfits, check out trending colors, and even explore stores that offer family matching options. Naturally, this becomes an additional item on our to-do list, contributing to our already busy schedules.
When trying to select you family outfit, consider the following tips:
  1. Begin with the mom's outfit: As mothers, we often place a higher emphasis on our appearance, striving to choose an outfit that not only pleases us but also enhances how we look and conceals any areas we may be less confident about. Try to select your outfit first and then coordinate the rest of the family's outfit accordingly.
  2. Don't stress over perfectly matching outfits: While matching outfits can look charming, they might not always align with your family's individual preferences. If you happen to find matching outfits for your family, that's fantastic. However, if not, focus on coordinating your family, as you'll still achieve a wonderful look.
  3. Involve everyone in the decision-making process: This becomes particularly crucial when dealing with teenagers. Allow each family member to have a say in what they wear, considering your preferences and expectations. Remember that your portraits will capture the essence of your family.
  4. Prioritize comfort: Never opt for outfits that are too tight or uncomfortable. Discomfort can show in your photos, and it's essential to remember that this is not just a photo session; it's the creation of lasting memories for your family to cherish.
  5. Minimize the use of patterns: It's generally a good idea to steer clear of overly busy patterns. If you choose to incorporate patterns, coordinate them with solid colors among family members. Excessive patterns can be distracting in your portraits.
  6. Opt for pleasing colors: Avoid fluorescent or bright and consider pastel and light colors , as this work well in portrait photography.

Here are some examples of outfit my clients have chose for different occasions.
